When it’s time to set up a profile and start booking appointments, parents then choose a monthly or yearly subscription to OPEAR. The only other costs are individual visit fees, which go directly to the caregiver serving you.

OPEAR MD does not currently accept insurance; however, pricing is comparable to a standard urgent care visit.

All parents are prompted to add their credit card and/or bank information when setting up their profile. That means you’re already set up to pay OPEAR by credit or automatic debit!
Remember, compensation must be processed through OPEAR; never exchange payment with a caregiver directly.

The doctors and nurses on our platform specialize in treating children, from newborns up to 16 years old.

To find OPEARs near you, simply download the app and search for providers that serve your location!

OPEAR MDs are available any day or time, however, each individual caregiver sets his or her own schedule. Be sure to review a potential caregiver’s availability when making your selection.

Nobody plans to get strep throat or the flu, but life happens fast! That’s why OPEAR’s rapid testing services are designed to be used on demand, rather than in-advance.

On OPEAR, both parents and caregivers are expected to follow through on their accepted bookings.
However, emergencies do happen. If either party needs to cancel a booking, we encourage you to do so through the app as soon as possible. In the event of a true emergency, OPEAR allows cancellations up to 10 minutes before arrival.
If the parent or caregiver you are meeting is a no-show, you can report the incident by contacting help@opear.com. Our Support team will investigate the situation, contact the member, and take appropriate action if needed.
Members deemed to be unreliable may have action taken on their account, including permanent closure. These members will be immediately removed from OPEAR for violating our Terms and Conditions.
To protect the member experience on OPEAR, we reserve the right, in its full discretion, to take such corrective action on members' accounts. Our reliability policy is in place in order to maintain the quality of the OPEAR platform and to ensure that members can trust the reliability of others.

Your profile is the first impression a parent will have of you as a potential caregiver; make it count by selecting a photo that is friendly, inviting, and shows how much you care! We’ve put together a few requirements and best practices, that will help you put your best foot forward.

Requirements:

  • All photos should clearly identify the caregiver. By ‘clearly identify’, we mean that a parent will be able to identify you in person based on the photo you’ve provided.
  • All photos must be current - taken within two years and representing you as you appear today.
  • Photos should not feature anyone except the caregiver - even children.

  • Best Practices:
  • Choose a photo that is friendly and inviting - a smiling headshot is ideal!
  • Opt for a well-lit photo that allows parents to see your eyes.
  • Be sure your entire face is visible, chin to forehead without sunglasses or a hat.
  • Avoid photos where you are too far from the camera.
  • Avoid photos depicting alcohol, revealing clothing, or any inappropriate behavior.
  • Refrain from choosing a photo that is heavily filtered or one where your appearance has been altered.
